To advance its engagement with regulatory science, the EMA gathered insights from stakeholders during a workshop on October 24.

The workshop explored the key areas in human medicines covered in the EMA proposal: ‘Regulatory Science Strategy to 2025’.

RSNN steering committee member Peter van Meer was present during the meeting, on behalf of the RSNN and MEB. Other participants included representatives of regulators, patient organizations, healthcare professionals, industry, academia, HTA bodies, payer organisations, and trade associations.

During the workshop, the EMA presented the key areas that will be included in its regulatory science strategy. Other stakeholders then reflected on scientific/technological advances and how EMA can support these advances through research and development.

In December 2018, a six-month public consultation on the proposed strategy will be launched.
