Gaps exist in regulatory science that need to be addressed to improve medicine development and evaluation to enable access to innovative medicines that address patients’ needs. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) identified around one hundred of these topics and will publish them on 15 December 2021 as the ‘Regulatory science research needs’ list.

We are delighted to announce that the EMA is organising a webinar on ‘Research in regulatory science – addressing the needs’, which will take place on Tuesday, 18 January 2022, from 10:00am to 12:00pm (CET).

This event aims to launch the 'Regulatory science research needs' initiative of the EMA.

With this initiative, EMA seeks to stimulate researchers and funding organisations to consider addressing these needs in their research work and funding programmes, respectively. The event to launch the initiative will inform the public and stakeholders about these needs and how stakeholders can engage with the regulatory science research needs.

Researchers and stakeholders are invited to raise questions and to comment during the event.
