On 15 February Carla Jonker successfully defended her PhD thesis titled “Rare disease registries: a must for regulatory decision making” at the University Hall in Utrecht.

The aim of Carla’s thesis was to investigate the value of registries for regulatory decision making. The field of haemophilia has been used as a case study, due to the experiences with long-term follow-up of patients included in haemophilia registries. The thesis has been published online here.

The RSNN would like to congratulate Carla with this impressive accomplishment and is looking forward to her future contributions to the Regulatory Science field.
