During the FIGON Dutch Medicines days, which were held on 27 and 28 September, the RSNN together with ZonMw and KNMP organized a successful session around the topic of regulatory readiness.

Please join us at the RSNN Annual workshop 2021 titled "Upstream regulatory convergence and downstream diverge: unequal access for patients". The event will take place in person at the Jaarbeurs Utrecht and will also be broadcasted live.

Recently a new edition of the online Regulatory Science Magazine was published by the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB).

A journal article on the topic of "Extension of Indication for Authorised Oncology Products in the European Union" was published last week in the Regulatory Science magazine frontiers in Medicine.

The ninth edition of the RSNN Newsletter has just been published. This edition features an interview with Peter Bertens (VIG), news and updates on past and upcoming events.

We gladly invite you to join us at the RSNN session during the FIGON Dutch Medicines Days (FIGON DMD), which will be held at the Stadsgehoorzaal in Leiden on 27 and 28 September (in person). The session organized by the RSNN together with Saco de Visser (ZonMW) and Martina Teichert (KNMP) is titled “Regulatory Readiness” and will take place on Monday 27 September at 15:00.

Please save the date for the RSNN annual workshop 2021. This year's workshop will take place on 23 November from 13.30-18.30 at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht (in person).

The RSNN interview series aims to give a better insight into the persons and organizations involved in the activities of RSNN. It also provides an opportunity to highlight some of the current topics in the Regulatory Science field.

On 4 June 2021 at 2:15pm PhD candidate Renske ten Ham from Utrecht University will defend her thesis titled: "Development, market authorization and market access of gene and cell-based therapies".

Last week the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB) published its Science Policy 2020-2024 titled 'regulating with the knowledge of tomorrow' The policy document specifies the eight main themes the MEB will focus on in the coming years.

During the virtual DIA Europe 2021 conference from the 15th till the 19th of March, the RSNN organised the session titled “Regulatory Science Dialogue”. More than 60 attendees joined the session.

On 8 December 2020, RSNN organized an Expert Meeting titled: Regulatory challenges for non-biological complex drugs (NBCDs)
